Sarens from Dordrecht (NL) is owning multiple Sennebogen 5500 crawler cranes. The cranes are mainly used on construction sites for the assambly of precast elements or as assist crane for larger crawler cranes, like here.
The undercarriage is 8.5 meters long and 6.8 meters wide. The tracks have a width of 1 meter and have a mass of each 17.4 tonnes.
Between the tracks is on both sides 13 tonnes of central ballast installed.
The crane is fitted with 60 tonnes of counterweight, that exists out of a 12 tonne base plate and ten slabs with each 4.8 tonnes. The tailswing of the counterweight is 6 meters.
The crane is fitted here with a 29.9 meter long main boom, the maximum length of the main boom is 74.4 meters. The crane was used here by the assembly of the Liebherr LR 1750.
The crane is powered by a Caterpillar C9 diesel engine with a power of 261 kW (355 hp).
A few weeks later was the Sennebogen used to erect a Terex CC 2800-1.
With the first series Sennebogen 5500 was the adjustment winch for the luffing jib installed in the body of the crane, later models like this one of Sarens, have the adjustment winch installed in the boom foot of the main boom.
