This sharp Terex CC 2800-1 of Tiong Woon from Singapore (SG) was used on a large construction site to help the construction of heavy concrete precast elements and modules for new apartments. Just like the other CC 2800-1 of Tiong Woon is this crane left in factory colors.
The undercarriage is 11.66 meters long and 9.9 meters wide. The tracks are each 11.66 meters long, 1.5 meters wide and 1.69 meters tall. The tracks have a mass of 44 tonnes each. Attached to the undercarriage is 60 tonnes of central counterweights.
The crane is powered by a Mercedes-Benz OM 502 LA, an 8-cylinder diesel engine with a power of 390 kW (530 hp).
In the superstructure are two 16-tonne hoist winches with 28 mm hoist wire rope and the luffing winch for the main boom installed.
Attached to the superstructure is 180 tonnes of counterweight, the counterweight exists out of a 20-tonne base plate and sixteen slabs with a mass of 10 tonnes. The superstructure has an 8 meter tailswing.
The luffing jib has a 24 meter base length and can be extended to a maximum length of 96 meters. Here was the crane fitted with a 42 meter long luffing jib.
The crane was fitted here in SW configuration. The main boom and luffing jib are here both 42 meters long. The maximum configuration is 66 meters of main boom with an 84 meter luffing jib.
An interesting view to see such a large crane in the housing construction. On such construction sites are usually precast modules with a mass of 35 tonnes lifted.
A few months later I could take some action photos of the crane.
Here a heavy precast module was lifted. A sharp crane of Tiong Woon!
