Terex

Terex was founded in 1925 by Gerald Williamson. The name terex exists however since 1968, it exists out of the Latin names "Terra" and "Rex" what means "Earth" and "King". The terex-group contains many brands from severtal devisions. Ristricted only to cranes are those brands: Demag, PPM, Bendini, Comedil, Ferro, American, Peiner, Franna, Changjiang, Lorain, Koehring, P&H, RO Stinger, Bantam and Fantuzzi. Terex has built telescopic cranes up to 1,000 tonnes and crawler cranes up to 3,200 tonnes. In April 2016 was decided that all cranes from the German production (telescopic crane from 100 to 1,000 tonnes and crawler cranes from 400 to 3,200 tonnes) will be sold under the name Demag again. In 2019 was de brand Demag sold to the Tadano group. Since then is Terex only producing rough terrain and tower cranes within the group.
