This Terex CC 2800-1 of Tiong Woon from Singapore (SG) was used on a large construction site to hoist large precast concrete elements. It is a 600-tonne crane.
The undercarriage of the crane is 11.66 meters long and 9.9 meter wide. The tracks are each 11.66 meters long, 1.5 meters wide and 1.685 meters tall. The transport mass each is 44 tonnes.
Tiong Woon has multiple Terex CC 2800-1 cranes in operation, the largest crane in the fleet is a Terex CC 8800-1 with boom booster.
The crane is powered by a Mercedes-Benz OM 502 LA, an 8-cylinder diesel engine with power of 390 kW (530 hp). In the superstructure are two 15-tonne hoist winches and the adjustment winch for the main boom or superlift boom.
In the first boom sections are more asjustment winches mounted, once the crane is fitted with a superlift boom is the main boom adjusted by the winch in the superlift (in red). The luffing jib is adjusted by the winch in the main boom.
The superlift is 30 meters long and can move the superlift counterweight between 11 and 15 meters of counter radius.
Here was the crane fitted with a 36 meter main boom and a 36 meter luffing jib in superlift.
The crane was fitted with 180 tonnes of counterweight on the superstructure, that exists out of a 20 tonne base plate and sixteen slabs with each 10 tonnes. The superstructure has a tailswing of 8 meters.
Between the tracks are in total 60 tonnes of central counterweight mounted.
The crane was used to hoist heavy precast concrete elements for large new warehouse. An interesting use by Tiong Woon!
A couple of months later was the main boom extended to a lenght of 90 meters.
The luffing jib was kept at 30 meters of length.
At last an overview photo of the crane in action.
