This sharp Grove GMK6300L of Zaugg from Rohrbach (CH) stood together with the Liebherr LTM 1100-5.2 on a construction site in Menznau (CH). It is a 300-tonne crane on a 6-axle undercarriage.
The undercarriage is powered by a Mercedes-Benz OM 502 LA, an 8-cylinder diesel engine with 551 hp.
The outrigger base measures 8.7 x 8.5 meters, or half 8.7 x 6.3 meters.
The crane is erected here with 74.5 tonnes of counterweight, that can be extended by two hang-on slabs to 92.5 tonnes. The tailswing of the counterweight is 5.5 meters.
The superstructure is powered by a Mercedes-Benz OM 926 LA, a 6-cylinder diesel engine with 286 hp. The engine powers three hydraulic pumps to operate the crane functions.
The 7-part main boom has six telescopic parts. The base length is 15.58 meters and the maximum length is 80 meters. The main boom is here 42.09 meters extendedm in this configuration lifts the crane maximum 63 tonnes on a 7 meter radius and 12.2 tonnes at 38 meters when the correct reefing is used.
In the meantime is this crane not operational with Zaugg anymore, now Zaugg is using a Grove GMK5250L.
A sharp and very succesfull crane by Grove!
