Verschoor from Sassenheim (NL) is owning this sharp Grove GMK5130-2, a 130 tonne crane on a 5 axle carrier.
The 5 axle crane carrier is powered by a Mercedes-Benz OM 502 LA, an 8 cylinder diesel engine with 517 hp. 3 of the 5 axles are driven, all axles are steerable. This type of crane is also fitted with a Mercedes-Benz cab on the undercarriage.
The outrigger base measures 7.8 x 7.5 meters. The crane is fitted here with 28.5 tonnes of counterweight, that can be increased to 40.1 tonnes using two hang-on slabs. The tailswing is 4.36 meters.
In the large box at the rear of the carrier are the lifting tools stored. During transport over the road are the four outrigger pads stacked on top of the box.
The Grove was used here as an assist crane with the Liebherr LR 1600/2, also of Verschoor.
The 6-part main boom has 5 telescopic sections. The base length is 12.9 meters and the max. length is 60 meters. With fully extended boom is it still possible to lift 10 tonnes.
The bi-fold swingaway jib is 11 or 18 meters and is hydraulically adjustable between 0 and 40 degress against the main boom. Optionally two extensions with 8 and 6 meters could be installed between the main boom and jib to create a system length of 60 + 32 meters.
