Verschoor from Sassenheim (NL) was using their Liebherr LR 1600/2 in the spring of 2016 for the disassembly of five Vestas V66 wind turbines in Wieringermeer (NL).
It is a 600 tonne crawler crane with year of manufacture 2015.
To erect the long main boom without the need of a derrick boom are on one side large outriggers attached to take care for the necessary stability.
The undercarriage is 11 meters long and 10.4 meters wide. Between the tracks are on both sides 32.5 tonnes of central counterweight mounted, that exists out of three slabs of each 10 tonnes on 2.5 tonne frames. The total amount of central ballast is 65 tonnes.
The superstructure counterweight is here 170 tonnes, existing out of 16 slabs with each 10 tonnes in 5 tonne frames. The tailswing of the counterweight is 8.01 meters.
The tracks are 10.9 meters long, 2 meters wide and 1.9 meters high. The weight each is 38 tonnes. Standard are the tracks 1.5 meters wide, the 2 meter plates are optional. Each track has two drives.
The mechanical outriggers could be attached on both sides. With the outriggers the tilt line is moved from 4.2 meters to 8 meters.
The crane is powered by a 6 cylinder Liebherr D846 A7 diesel engine with 503 hp.
The crane is equipped with a Quick Connection slewing ring to easily split the superstructure with the carbody for smaller transport collis. The crane has two slew drives.
The crane is here erected in SL configuration, the main boom is here 96 meters long. The crane can lift in this configuration 155 tonnes on a 14 meter radius and 6.5 tonnes on a 68 meter radius. The max. boom length in SL configuration is 102 meters.
