Franna was founded in 1978 by Dave Francis. The brand name is a combinations of the surnames Francis and Anna, the family names of the founder and his wife. Franna is producing pick and carry cranes; smaller mobile cranes which are driven and operated from a single cabin. The cranes are especially in Australia very popular. In 1999 became Franna part of the Terex group, which opened up the export possibilities to approx. 30 other countries. Currently is Franna producing cranes with a lifting capacity up to 40 tonnes in their factory in Brisbane (AU).
