In October 2020 was in the city part Punggol in Singapore (SG) a pedestrian overhead bridge between two apaprtment blocks mounted. This bridge was produced somewhere else and was driven over the road to the construction site and would be positioned on site by use of two cranes. Here the bridge just arrived in the street.
The bridge was transported by the Scania R 620. The last turns are always the most challenging.
The bridge is loaded on two 6-axle Scheuerle K25 modules with turntables. The bridge is 26.21 meters long and 5 meters wie. The mass is about 93.4 meters.
In the closed street are two cranes ready to bring the bridge into position.
Because Bok Seng didn't had any of their 500-tonners available, the LTM 1500-8.1 was hired from Sante. The crane is here fitted with 135 tonnes of counterweight, where Bok Seng supplied the outrigger pads and 30 tonnes of counterweight.
The other crane is a Liebherr LTM 1200-5.1 of Bok Seng. Both cranes are now hooked on the load, the lifting will be started soon!
The bridge is now hanging in the cranes. The boom of the LTM 1200-5.1 is extended to a 26.7 meter length, the boom of the LTM 1500-8.1 is here 31.7 meters long.
At first the bridge is moved to the right side of the cranes.
And is then brought between the cranes and will be positioned on the bearings in this position. The LTM 1200-5.1 is lifting here 48 tonnes on a 10 meter radius, the LTM 1500-8.1 is lifting 49 tonnes on a 20 meter radius. These weights do include the mass of the hook and rigging.
Relatively fast is the bridge positioned on top of the bearings. Bok Seng is very well experienced in such jobs.
A very sharp job by Bok Seng and Sante!
