Dismantling of steel constructions by Bok Seng

Bok Seng from Singapore (SG) was using both their Liebherr LTM 1500-8.1 to assist by the dismantling of steel hulp structures. These structures were required when the heavy and large portal crane with a mass of about 1,100 tonnes was moved by SPMT.

Between the legs of the portal crane were temporary steel structures mounted, these had to be dismantled with both LTM 1500. These beams weight each 44 tonnes and have a length of 90 meters.

The rear beam was hoisted on a 26 meter radius, each crane is lifting about 22 tonnes.

The 200-tonne portal crane would be transferred to another shipyard.

The first LTM 1500-8.1 of Bok Seng had it's 50 meter main boom extended to a 36.9 meter length.

The crane was used with 75 tonnes of counterweight.

The second LTM 1500-8.1 was used in the same configuration.

The first beam is dismantled, here is the second beam rigged. This beam will be lifted on a 12 meter radius.

An impressive area, both Liebherrs only look small below the 200-tonne portal crane.

After a morning of lifting works are both cranes derigged and can drive back to the yard.

A very beautiful crane job with beautiful equipment of Bok Seng!
