This is the second Liebherr LTM 1500(-8.1) that was used by Bok Seng from Singapore (SG). It is a 500-tonne crane mounted on an 8-axle carrier with year of manufacture 2005. In the meantime was this crane sold and it now working for a new owner in Indonesia.
The undercarriage is powered by a Liebherr D9508 A7 diesel engine with a power of 500 kW (680 hp).
The outrigger base measures 10 x 9.6 meters, or half 10 x 6.25 meters.
The crane was equipped with the first version of the YSL superlift that later couldn't be used anymore. With this version of the superlift are the superlift arms per side installed on the crane, the superlift cables are attached to the axle of the pullies on the boom head.
In transit is the crane 21.4 meters long, 3 meters wide and 4 meters tall. This crane has a total mass of approx. 96 tonnes.
The crane would lift two tanks from a pontoon, these are delivered over the water by pontoon. The pontoon and tug boat are both also from the Bok Seng group.
Attached to the superstructure is 135 tonnes of counterweight, that is the full counterweight for this crane.
The crane is fitted with the four-part 50 meter long main boom, the main boom is here extended to a length of 42.1 meters.
The first tank is hanging in the crane the tank weights around 25 tonnes.
This tank would continue its journey over the road, this job would be done by Harbour Handlers.
The tanks are picked up at a radius of approx. 23 meters from the pontoon.
Also the second tank is quickly loaded, both tanks would be transported over the road during the night because of the dimensions. A sharp and quick job by Bok Seng!
