This sharp Volvo FH 460 of Van Wieren from Konz-Könen (DE) was together with his Dutch colleague with oversized crane parts on the move. Both combinations stood parked during a weekend at the border between the Netherlands and Germany near Venlo (NL).
It is a 3-axle truck with a 6x2-drive line where only the last axle is driven. The truck is powered by a Volvo D13K, a 12.8-liter 6-cylinder diesel engine with a power of 338 kW (460 hp).
Behind the front axle the large diesel tank installed.
On the other side are the Euro 6 muffler, the AdBluetank and a second diesel tank installed behind the front axle. Behind the cabin is a smaller storage compartment made. Optically is the truck almost identical with the other FH 460 trucks of Van Wieren, the biggest difference is the German licence plate.
The truck is attached to a 4-axle Broshuis 42N5-EU semi low loader. The trailer is 2.4 meters extendable and is allowed to transport cargos up to 34.2 tonnes in the Netherlands. The trailer has wheel wells for the transport of shovels. So is it possible to reduce the height and is a normal low loader not required anymore.
The cargo is an oversized boom sections of Mammoet's 2,000-tonne Demag CC 4800 TwinRing crane. The boom section is 12.16 meters long, 3.95 meters wide and 3.02 meters tall.
