Kahl Schwerlast from Duisburg (DE) is deploying two of these sharp Mercedes-Benz Actros 4165 trucks with 8x6-drive line to execute the largest and heaviest transports. This truck was in back-up when Kahl was transporting multiple heavy transformers in Nuremberg (DE).
The truck is powered by a Mercedes-Benz OM 502 LA, a 15.9-liter 8-cylinder diesel engine with a power of 480 kW (653 hp). The first and two rear axles are powered. Behind the front axle are the muffler and a large storage compartment installed. The truck's year of manufacture is 2013.
The truck is here fitted with a ballast box to two heavy trailer with the heavy Rockinger coupling. The total mass of the truck in this configuration is approx. 41 tonnes. It is also possible to remove the ballast box and attach trailers to the fifth wheel.
Behind the cabin are the large diesel tank, hydraulic oil tank, compressed-air tanks, batteries and a large cooler for the VIAB turbo coupling installed, the equipment tower is nice covered on the sides with the flaps. In front of the diesel tank is a large storage compartment made. Behind the front axle are the air filter, AdBlue tank and another storage compartment installed.
Attached to the bumper is another heavy coupling installed to puch or brake transports fromt behind. A very sharp truck by Kahl!
