This is the second Mercedes-Benz Actros 4165 of Feldmann from Schmerikon (CH). Optically are the trucks very similar, they can be identified on the "Titan" stickers on the sun blinds, the fleet number 6 and the licence plate.
The truck is powered by the strongest engine ever used on Mercedes-Benz trucks, the OM 502 LA, a 15.9 liter V8 diesel engine with a power of 653 hp. The truck was modified by Titan from Sulzbach (DE) for heavy operations. The base was a 6x6-truck where a non-driven pusher axle was added to to make it a 8x6-truck. Further was a VIAB turbo coupling installed, the equipment tower behind the cabin and are the chassis and bumper reinforced.
A truck with 8x6-drive line is in Switzerland not very special because 25% of the total mass of combinations that can drive faster than 40 km/h should rest on driven axles. The truck has a cardanic fifth wheel and a heavy coupling, but it looks like that attachments for a ballast box are missing.
Behind the cabin are the large diesel tank, the hydraulic oil tank, cooler for the VIAB turbo coupling, the battery and compressed-air tanks. In front of the tank is a large storage compartment made. Behind the front axle are the air filter and the AdBlue tank mounted.
Here is the truck with a Goldhofer THP/ET modular trailer in neck-3-bed-5 configuration on the move. The combination transported earlier that day a drilling rig to a construction site.
