Daher from Leese (DE) was deploying three of these Mercedes-Benz Actros 3348 trucks that were modified by Titan. In 2020 was the fleet, the staff and the activities from Daher overtaken by Kübler from Michelfeld-Erlin (DE).
It is a 6x4-truck, here fitted with a ballast box, that is powered by a Mercedes-Benz OM 502 LA, a 15.9-liter 8-cylinder diesel engine with a power of 350 kW (476 hp).
These trucks were new delivered to Nuclear Cargo + Service (NCS). To protect the drivers against activists is it possible to install a guard shield in front of the windows.
Behind the cabin is a large equipment tower with the large diesel tank, the cooler, a storage compartment and a hydraulic oil tank installed. Behind the front axle are the muffler, the battery and compressed-air tanks installed. Between the diesel tank and the ballast box is a heavy winch installed.
On the other side are behind the front axle the air filter and a storage comaprtment installed. On the rear of the chassis are the heavy tow bar coupling and the cable from the winch vissible. The winch can be used to rotate heavy cargos like transformers or to move rail wagons.
Usually is the truck used as auxilairy vehicle, e.g. to load and unload transformers. The cargos are mainly transported by rail to the area of the construction site and will then have to be transported over the road to the construction site. In this case was the transport done by the Mercedes-Benz Actros 4165.
A very sharp and tough vehicle of Daher!
