MAN TGX 41.680 - Tiong Woon

This sharp MAN TGX 41.680 belongs to Tiong Woon from Singapore (SG) and was, just like the MAN TGX 26.480, used for the transport of a large hammer. The combination exists out of a 4-axle heavy haulage truck with a 12-axle trailer.

The truck is this MAN TGX 41.680 with low cabin. The truck is powered by a MAN D2863, a 16.2-litre 8-cylinder diesel engine with a power of 500 kW (680 hp). The truck has an 8x4-drive line, where both rear axles are powered.

Behind the cabin are a 900 litre diesel tank, a 300 litre hydraulic oil tank, air barrels and large cooler for the hydraulic oil mounted. The truck is equipped with a WSK 440 torque converter and is allowed for train weights up to 250 tonnes.

Behind the front axle is the muffler mounted.

On top of the driven axles is the heavy ballast box with counterweight blocks mounted. At the rear of the chassis is a heavy towbar coupling mounted.

Tiong Woon is using this truck internationally, the truck just returned before this job from Brunei. Tiong Woon owns two of these trucks, the other unit has a white cabin.

On this side are the battery and AdBlue tank installed behind the front axle.

The bumper is reinforced and has a register coupling to push/brake transports or the manouvre trailers.

Towed is here a 12-axle Goldhofer THP/SL 6 trailer, the trailer is composed out of two 6-axle modules.

The load is a Menck MHU1200S hydraulic hammer with a total mass of 149 tonnes.

Due to the dimensions is this transport only allowed to drive to the other port under escort. In this case only after 10:00 PM. A very sharp transport by Tiong Woon!

A couple of days later was this truck also deployed to drive a large concrete beam.

The beam is 40 meters long and weights 75 tonnes. The beam is loaded on two 5-axle Cometto modules with turntables.
