The heaviest and strongest truck that Kim Soon Lee from Singapore (SG) deploys ist his sharp MAN TGX 41.640. Here was the truck used to transport an hydraulic hammer from the port to the storage yard.
The ballasted truck is here on the move with a 12-axle Goldhofer trailer.
The trailer is parked along the road shortly after arrival, the next day the trailer would be unloaded.
The truck is powered by a MAN D38, a 15.2-liter 6-cylinder diesel engine with a power of 471 kW (640 hp). The truck has an 8x4-drive line, where both rear axles are powered.
The truck is fitted with a reinforced bumper with coupling, so that the truck can also be used to push or brake transports.
Behind the front axle are the AdBlue tank, battery and two compressed-air tanks mounted.
Behind the cabin are the large diesel tank, hydraulic oil tank, multiple compressed-air tanks, storage compartments and a cooler for the engine and torque converter mounted. This TGX 41.640 is capable for train weights up to 250 tonnes.
On top of the driven axles is a ballast box with twist locks mounted, the ballast box can easily be removed so that the truck can be used with normal trailers too.
The truck is fitted with a 250-tonne trailer coupling.
Here is the 12-axle Goldhofer trailer attached again.
Kim Soon Lee is deploying Goldhofer THP/SL 6 axle modules with a width of 3 meters and a maximum technical axle load of 45 tonnes, the axles are 600 mm in height adjustable. Kim Soon Lee has also multiple accessoires, like a gooseneck, bridges and a girder bridge for their axles available.
The cargo is an IHC S-800 hydraulic hammer with a mass of 83 tonnes. The cargo is approx. 14.6 meters long.
The combination will be unloaded, the truck starts to drive the hammer to the storage yard here.
The Goldhofer axles are hydraulically steerable in angles of 55 degrees, the hydraulic system is powered by a 10 kW Hatz diesel engine.
At the end is the combination unloaded by the Terex AC 700 of Hiap Tong. A very sharp combination of Kim Soon Lee!
