MAN TGX 41.680 - Hup Hin

The heaviest truck that is used by Hup Hin from Singapore (SG) is this tough MAN TGX 41.680. The truck was used here for the transport of oversized cooling towers, the cargo is loaded on a 12-axle trailer.

The 4-axle truck with 8x4-drive line is powered by a MAN D2863, a 16.2-liter 8-cylinder diesel engine with a power of 500 kW (680 hp).

Behind the front axle are the battery and AdBlue tank mounted.

On top of the driven axles is the heavy ballast box mounted the give enough pressure on the driven axles. The truck has a technical maximum mass of 41 tonnes.

Behind the cabin are the 900 liter diesel tank, a 300 liter hydraulic oil tank, compressed-air tanks and a large cooler for the hydraulic oil mounted. The truck is equiped with a WSK 440 torque converter. The truck is allowed for train weights up to 250 tonnes.

Here was a 12-axle Cometto modular platform trailer attached.

The bumper is reinforced and is fitted with a heavy coupling so that transports can be pushed and braked as well.

The combination would enter the job site now. The trailer is operated manually.

A very sharp combination of Hup Hin!

The second time I saw the MAN it was used to drive large steel columns to the constuction site. Here is the combination leaving the fabrication yard.

Here was a 7-axle trailer used, between the 3- and 4-axle modules is a long flat bridge mounted.
