Kenworth T904

QSR

This impressive Kenworth T904 belongs to QSR from Logan Village (AU).

The combination was deployed to transport components of a Liebherr 290 HC tower crane from Liebherr Australia's rental fleet from storage to the construction site. The combination consists of a 3-axle truck with a 3-axle semi-trailer.

The truck is this fine Kenworth T904 from the year of manufacture 2004. The T904 could be equipped with three different diesel engines: the CAT C15 and C16, or a Cummins ISX15. All three engines are 6-cylinder diesel engines with a displacement of 15 or 16 litres, producing an output of between 410 and 462 kW (550 and 620 hp). The truck has a 6x4 drive line, whereby both rear axles are driven and only the front axle is steerable.

Large diesel tanks are mounted behind the front axle on both sides; the tank capacity will be more than 1,000 litres, certainly no unnecessary luxury for the long distances in Australia. This truck is equipped with the 36-inch Aero cab, while a longer 50-inch cab was also optionally available.

The truck is approved for a maximum gross combination weight of 90 tonnes, while the truck itself may weigh a maximum of 26.5 tonnes including fifth-wheel load. Here, a 3-axle Freighter high-bed semi-trailer with rigid axles is being hauled.

The trailer was loaded with the cab, trolley and hoisting machinery of the tower crane, weighing 9.21 tonnes, 1 tonne and 7.9 tonnes respectively.

An impressive and fine truck from QSR!
