This sharp Sennebogen 6100 XLR was together used with the Sennebogen 6100 XPD deployed for piling works for a new quay in Eemshaven (NL). This rig was used to drive vibro piles.
With vibro piles is a steel tube with a cap driven into the ground and then filled with concrete and rebar. The steel tube is then driven out of the ground again, because of the gravtiy remain the cap and in the ground shapped pile in the soil.
The base machine is a Sennebogen 6100 with extended superstructure. The rig is powered by a Caterpillar C15 diesel engine.
Here are the vibro piles driven into the ground in a 3:1 angle.
The undercarriage is 6.1 meters wide and 7.15 meters long. The rig has an operational mass of approx. 160 tonnes.
The leader has a maximum length of 51 meters. Heter is the rig working with an IHC S-90 hydraulic hammer.
The hammer is powered by the external power pack at the rear of the machine. Against the A-frame is the gantry stored so that the rig can boom up the long leader by itself without use of an auxilairy crane.
In the meantime is BAM deploying a second Sennebogen 6100 XLR, that version is slightly larger and has an operational mass of 180 tonnes.
A very sharp and impressive rig by BAM Grondtechniek!
