Terex CC 2400-1 - Toggenburger

During the construction of the Eppenbergtunnel in Wöschnau (CH) was Toggenburger from Winterthur (CH) their sharp Terex CC 2400-1 for the assembly of a tunnel boring machine (TBM).

This is a 400-tonne crawler crane. Toggenburger is also operation two Terex Superlift 3800, the Terex CC 2500-1 was sold.

The crane is powered by a Mercedes-Benz OM 501 LA, a 353 hp diesel engine. The engine poweres five hydraulic pumps.

The undercarriage is 10.25 meters long and 8.45 meters wide.

The counterweight weights 160 tonnes and has a 7.18 meter tailswing.

Between the tracks is in total 40 tonnes of central ballast installed, 20 tonnes per side.

The crane is equipped with two 15-tonne winches.

The tracks are each 10.25 meters long, 1.2 meters wide and 1.5 meters high. The mass each is 25.9 tonnes. To erect long main booms it is possible to attach additional outriggers to the tracks.

The superlift is 30 meters long and adjustable from 9 to 15 meters counterradius.

The superlift tray is maximum fitted with 240 tonnes of counterweight.

The crane was erected here in SSL configuration, the main boom is here 48 meters long and has a maximum length of 96 meters. In this configuration the crane can lift maximum 97,3 tonnes on a 44 meter radius.
