Terex AC 250-1 - Tiong Woon
Here was a sharp Terex AC 250-1 of Tiong Woon from Singapore (SG) used to hoist construction materials on a construction site. It is a 250-tonne crane mounted on a 6-axle carrier.
The 6-axle carrier is powered by a Mercedes-Benz diesel engine with a power of 440 kW (598 hp). The axles 2, 4, 5 and 6 are powered, the axles 1 to 3, 5 and 6 are steerable.
The outrigger base measures 8.7 x 8.5 meters, or half 8.7 x 5.54 meters.
The superstructure is powered by a Mercedes-Benz diesel engine with a power of 210 kW (286 hp). The crane is able to move all movements at the same time.
Attached to the superstructure is a 74.4 tonne counterweight. The full counterweight is 96.6 tonnes and has a 5.6 meter tailswing. During the transport over the road is the crane able to bring 15 tonnes on the carrier.
The 7-part main boom has a 14.5 meter base length and extends six times to a maximum length of 80 meters. Next to the main boom is hanging a 10.4 - 20 meter long bi-fold swingaway jib that is adjustable between 0 and 40 degrees with hydraulic cylinders. The maximum hook height is this configuration is about 95 meters!
Here was the main boom extended to a length of 77.2 meters to hoist construction materials on top of a tall building under construction. A very sharp crane of Tiong Woon!
