A Terex AC 200-1 on a big construction site near Mönchengladbach (DE). The current owner isn't mentioned on the crane, but the former owner is good recognizable on the colors; Breuer & Wasel, today only Wasel called.
It is a 200 tonne crane on 5 axles. The Terex AC 200-1 was also with 6 axles or even with 7 axles deliverable. The 7 axle version was the 6 axle version with an add-on axle. The 5 axle version is not aloud to take any counterweights with it, because of the axle loads.
The crane was used to mount precast concrete parts.
In the undercarriage is laying a DaimlerChrysler OM 502 LA with 516 hp. The axles 2, 3, 4 and 5 are driven, the axles 1, 2, 4 and 5 are steerable.
The outrigger base is 8.44 x 8.2 meters, or 8.44 x 6,85 on 75% or 8.44 x 5.95 meters on half base.
Packed is the crane 12.96 meters long, 3 meters wide and 4 meters height. The transport mass should be around 60 tonnes.
The crane was put up with 43.4 tonnes of counterweight, which is extendable by two hang-on slabs of each 12.8 tonnes to 69 tonnes. The tailswing of the counterweight is now 4.8 meters, but with hang-on slabs 4.95 meters.
The main boom is here only 25.1 meters extended. The max. length is 67.8 meters, then you can still lift 12 tonnes up to a 18 meter reach. The main boom is extendable with a 17 meter folding jib (which can be taken by the crane) and can be extended up to 33 meters with intermediate sections.
At the rear of the crane is hanging a box with the 'outrigger pads', seen a lot by cranes in Germany.
This crane type is follewed up by succesor Terex Explorer 5800, a 220 tonne crane with a 70 meter main boom.
