This sharp Terex AC 700 of Scholpp from Stuttgart (DE) stood parked on a port in Heilbronn (DE). It is a 700 tonne crane mounted on a 9-axle undercarriage that was used before by Peinemann from Hoogvliet (NL).
In transit is the crane 20.65 meters long, 3 meters wide and 4 meters tall. The transport mass is approx. 108 tonnes.
The undercarriage is powered by a Mercedes-Benz OM 502 LA, an 8-cylinder diesel engine with a power of 480 kW (653 hp). The undercarriage has an 18x8x16-drive line where the axles 3, 4, 8 and 9 are powered and the axles 1 to 5 and 7 to 9 are steerable.
The 5-part main boom has a 15.5 meter base length and extends four times to a maximum length of 60 meters. A 7-sheave 189-tonne hook is reefed; the crane is fitted with a 13.4 tonne hoist winch.
The outrigger base measures 12.2 x 12.4 meters.
On a 7-axle Nooteboom semi low loader are the 20-tonne base plate and 30 tonnes of counterweight loaded.
On a 4-axle semi low loader are the outrigger pads and another 20 tonnes of counterweight loaded.
On a 5-axle MAX trailer are another 50 tonnes of counterweight loaded. The full counterweight of the crane weights 160 tonnes and has a 7.5 meter tailswing.
A very tough crane by Scholpp! This crane was temporary in use by Scholpp until their ordered Demag AC 700-9 would be delivered, the succesor of this crane.
