Terex A600C

Pollisum

Pollisum from Singapore (SG) operated this interesting Terex A600C, a 60-tonne telescopic crane on crawler carrier from the year of manufacture 2007.

During crane operation, the carrier is 6.16 metres long and 6 metres wide. For transport on public roads, the width can be reduced to 3.5 metres. A special feature is that the crawler tracks do not slide on beams, but are mounted on pivoting arms, a pantograph construction. When the crane is therefore set to narrow width, the slewing ring moves in relation to the centre of the crawler tracks. During crane operation, the crawler tracks are secured to the carrier with heavy bars.

The crane is powered by a Cummins QSB5.9-C, a 5.9-litre 6-cylinder diesel engine with an output of 153 kW (205 hp).

The crawler tracks are each 0.9 metres wide. The crane has a total weight of approximately 58 tonnes.

This crane was built at Terex Italia in Crespellano (IT). In the past, Bendini cranes were built here; Bendini became part of the PPM Group from France in 1989. In 1995, PPM became part of the Terex Group. In Europe, this crane was marketed under the PPM brand name.

The ballast weighs 8.7 tonnes and has a swing radius of 4.28 metres.

The crane is equipped with two hoist winches, of which only the main winch was in use here. The main winch is rated for 5.3 tonnes of line pull, the auxiliary winch has a line pull of 3.8 tonnes.

The four-section main boom has a base length of 10.3 metres and telescopes three times to a maximum length of 32.4 metres. Optionally, an 8-, 10-, 16- or 20-metre jib can be mounted on the main boom.

An interesting crane from Pollisum! In the meantime, this crane was sold to a new owner in Indonesia.
