This Terex AC 500-2 of Jade Weser Lift from Wilhelmshafen (DE) stood parking along the German motorway A61 near Bonn (DE) during a weekend.
It is a 500-tonne crane mounted on an 8-axle undercarriage. The undercarriage is powered by a MTU diesel engine with a power of 480 kW (653 hp). The axles 1, 2, 4 and 5 are powered and the axles 1 to 4 and 6 to 8 are steerable.
In transit is the crane 19.3 meters long, 3 meters wide and 4 meters tall. The transport mass is approx. 93 tonnes.
During the transport over the road is the cabin on the superstructure folded backwards. On the cabin is the name of the previous owner of the crane to be identified; Schuch.
The front outriggers are removed during the transport over the road the stay within the valid axle loadings.
The 5-part main boom has a base length of 14.7 meters and extends four times to a maximum length of 56 meters. The main boom can be extended by a 62.4 meter fixed jib or with a 90 meter long luffing jib.
The X-shaped outrigger base measures 9.6 x 9.6 meters, or half 8.04 x 7.3 meters.
It is possible to attach maximum 180 tonnes of counterweight to the superstructure with a tailswing of 6.1 meters.

Next to the crane stood multiple trailers parked loaded with crane parts. On the first 5-axle trailer are the 20-tonne base plate, the four outrigger pads and the front outriggers of the crane loaded.
On the second 5-axle trailer are five counterweight slabs with each a mass of 10 tonnes loaded.
On the third 5-axle trailer are another five coutnerweight slabs with each a mass of 10 tonnes loaded.
