The largest mobile crane deployed by Huationg (Asia) from Singapore (SG) is this sharp and impressive Terex AC 700. It is a 700-tonne crane mounted on a 9-axle carrier.
Here was the crane fitted with 120 tonnes of counterweight, that exists out of a 20-tonne base plate with in total ten slabs with each 10 tonnes. The maximum counterweight weights 160 tonnes and the counterweight has a 7.5 meter tailswing.
The undercarriage is powered by a Mercedes-Benz OM 502 LA, an 8-cylinder diesel engine with a power of 480 kW (653 hp). The undercarriage has an 18x8x16-drive line, where the axles 3, 4, 8 and 9 are powered and the axles 1 to 5 and 7 to 9 are steerable.
The outrigger base measures 12.2 x 12.36 meters, or half 9 x 8.75 meters.
A detail of the SSL superlift system. The beams are each folded 30 degrees sideways and give the main boom more stability.
The crane is erected with a short luffing jib. The main boom is here extended 35.5 meters. In the background we can see the Liebherr LTM 1500-8.1 of Huationg (Asia).
