The largest Terex in the fleet of Fanger from Sachseln (CH) is this sharp AC 250-1, a 250-tonne crane on a 6-axle crane carrier. This is the largest crane that is operated from Fangers' branch in Luzern (CH), where it was parked.
The crane has a 7-axle main boom with a 14.5 meter base length and a maximum length of 80 meters. The main boom can be extended with a fixed jib of total 36 meters, 20 meter of that jib can be transported with the crane, next to the main boom.
Packed has the crane a 16.97 meter length, a 2.98 meter width and a 3.99 meter height. The transport mass is 72 tonnes.
The crane carrier is powered by a 612 hp strong Mercedes-Benz engine. The crane has a 12x8x10-drive line, where four axles are driven and the axles 1 to 3, 5 and 6 are steerable. The outrigger base measures 8.68 x 8.5 meters, or half 6.86 x 5.54 meters.
The crane is equiped with a 23 mm, 12-tonne hoist winch. The superstructure is powered by a Mercedes-Benz engine with a power of 279 hp.
The full counterweight of the crane weights 96.6 tonnes and has a 5.6 meter tailswing. The counterweight exists out of five slabs with a total mass of 52.4 tonnes and four cheeck weights with a mass of 44.2 tonnes.
