Terex CC 2400-1

Al Jaber

This impressive Terex CC 2400-1 of Al Jaber from Singapore (SG) was deployed on a major construction site there to lift heavy prefabricated concrete elements and heavy steel structures for a new sports stadium. It is a 400-tonne crawler crane.

Here, the crane was deployed in SWSL configuration. The crane is in superlift with a luffing jib. The main boom has a length of 36 metres and the superlift boom is 30 metres long. No heavy lifts requiring superlift ballast were carried out.

The carrier is 10.25 metres long and 8.45 metres wide. A total of 40 tonnes of ballast is mounted on the carrier.

The luffing jib is 54 metres long here.

A total of 160 tonnes of ballast is mounted on the superstructure. The ballast consists of a 20-tonne base plate and fourteen blocks of 10 tonnes each. The crane is equipped with two 15-tonne hoist winches, both of which were in use here.

The luffing jib has a base length of 24 metres and can be extended in 6-metre increments to a maximum length of 84 metres.

These photographs were taken on different days. Here, concrete elements are being lifted. In the background, a second crane of Al Jaber is erected; a Terex CC 2500-1!

The crane is powered by a Mercedes-Benz OM 501 LA, a 12-litre 6-cylinder diesel engine with an output of 260 kW (353 hp).

A fine crane from Al Jaber!
