Tadano ATF 220G-5 - Merkel Autokrane GmbH
A nice Tadano ATF 220G-5 of Merkel Autokrane GmbH from Schüsselfeld (DE). The crane was used by the lifting of modules for a temporary hospital.
The crane was put up on a narrow spot between a building and a steep hill. This hill is the reaseon why the crane was used, the trucks with modules weren't able to drive up through the hair pin bends.
The crane was put up with the full 71 tonne counterweight, with a 4.98 meter tailswing.
The lower cab. Since some years the name FAUN completly disapeared from the crane. Today only Tadano is left.
In the undercarriage is laying a 8 cylinder Mercedes-Benz OM 502 LA with 551 hp. The crane has a 10x8 drive, only the axle in the middle isn't driven.
The outrigger base is 9.05 x 8.3 meters.
The Tadano is loading here the Mercedes-Benz Actros 4158 of Kübler, that was standing op hill.
The crane has its boom here 46.7 meters extended, now the crane is still able to lift (with 71 tonnes of counterweight) 34.5 tonnes on a 10 meter reach or 8.1 tonnes on a 44 meter reach. The boom is extendable by a folding jib with a max. length of 37.2 meters.
