This sharp Liebherr HS 8070 HD of Wiedemann from Jettingen-Scheppach (DE) stood on a gravel pit in the south of Germany. Wiedemann is operating multiple cranes of this type.
It is a 70-tonne heavy duty crawler crane with year of manufacture 2015.
The crane is powered by a Liebherr D 936 A7-04 diesel engine with a power of 320 kW (429 hp). The engine has an ECO-Silent-Mode, a function that is reducing the fuel consuption and noise during lighter duties. The crane is fitted with two 20-tonne winches.
The undercarriage of the crane is 5.92 meters long and 4.5 meters wide. For the transport over the road is it possible to reduce the width to 3 meters. For the transport is a 5-axle semi low loader with 3-axle truck sufficient.
The crane has in total 20 tonnes of counterweight with a tailswing of 4.58 meters.
Here is the crane fitted with a 23 meter long main boom, the maximum length of the main boom is 56 meters.
Next to the main boom is the hydraulic tag-line winch installed, this is used when the crane is working with a grab and prevents the grab from rotating.
Here was the heavy duty crane fitted with a bucket, unfortunately was the crane not in operation during the weekend.
