P&K from Rijssen (NL) is operating this sharp Liebherr LTM 1040-2.1, a compact 40-tonne crane that is installed on a 2-axle carrier. The crane's year of manufacture is 2006.
The crane is 10.93 meters long, 2.55 meters wide and 3.55 meters high. The mass of the crane is around 24 tonnes.
The undercarriage and superstructure of the crane are powered by a 6-cylinder Liebherr diesel engine with a power of 210 kW (286 hp). The undercarriage has a 4x4x4-drive line with both axles driven and steerable. For the crane operation is the engine powering two hydraulic pumps.
On this side is it possible to install a 9.5 meter long jib, but is removed here to reduce the axle loadings. The jib can be mounted under a 0, 20, 40 or 60 degree angle to the main boom.
The outrigger base measures 6.3 x 6.03 meters, or half 6.3 x 4.33 meters. Below the cabin is a frame installed where the four round outrigger pads are stored during the transport over the road.
The main boom has a 10.5 meter base length and extends three times to a full length of 35 meters.
The full counterweight has a 6.5 tonne mass and a 3.33 meter tailswing. During the transport over the road remains 3.3 tonnes of counterweight attached to the super structure and is a 3.2 tonne slab stored on the undercarriage. Just like the LTM 1050-3.1 is on this crane the hoist winch installed at the back of the super structure to gain extra boom length.
At the rear of the undercarriage is a smaller box for some lifting gear installed. A sharp crane by P&K!
