Liebherr LTM 1200-5.1 - Megalift
A very sharp Liebherr LTM 1200-5.1 of Megalift from Bremen (DE) was used, together with a Terex AC 100/4L, to erect a steel construction for a large industrial building.
It is a 200 tonne crane on a 5-axle crane carrier. Packed is the crane 15.2 meters long, 3 meters wide and 4 meters height. The crane weights 60 tonns.
The crane outrigger dimensions are 8.9 x 8.3 meters. On the rear of the crane carrier is hanging a box where the small wooden plates (below the outriggers) are stored.
In the undercarriage is laying a Liebherr diesel engine with 503 hp.
The crane was fitted with 22 tonnes of counterweight. That can be extended up to 72 tonnes by 3 slabs with each 10 tonnes and two hang-on slabs with each 10 tonnes. The tailswing is 4.85 meters.
During my short visit, the crane was unloading a truck with steel.
Here is the boom 35.8 meters extended, the max. length is 72 meters. The boom is extendable with a 36 meter folding jib.
