The largest crane that Kran Maurer from Göppingen (DE) is deploying is this sharp Liebherr LTM 1200-5.1 with year of manufacture 2018. The crane was used to load a steam locomotive.
It is a 200-tonne crane mounted on a 5-axle carrier.
The outrigger base of the crane measures 8.9 x 8.3 meters, or half 8.9 x 5.5 meters.
The undercarriage is powered by a Liebherr 6-cylinder diesel engine with a power of 370 kW (503 hp). This crane has the optional 10x8x10-drive line where the axles 1, 2, 4 and 5 are powered and all axles are steerable.
Here was the crane fitted with 52 tonnes of counterweight, that exists out of a 12 tonne base plate with four 10 tonne slabs. The full counterweight is 72 tonnes and has a 4.85 meter tailswing.
The 7-part main boom has a 13.2 meter base length and extends in total six times to a full length of 72 meters. Here is the boom only 26.7 meters extended. Depending on the amount of falls is the crane able to lift 112.8 tonnes on a 4 meter radius or 18.5 tonnes to a 24 meter radius.
In the boom is hanging a 5-sheave hook with a 1.3 tonne mass and a safe working load of 108 tonnes.
In transit is the crane 15.4 meters long, 3 meters wide and 4 meters tall.
A sharp crane in the colours of Kran Maurer!
