This tough Liebherr LTM 1500 was deployed by Asiagroup from Singapore (SG). It is a 500-tonne crane with year of manufacture 2001. Nowadays is the crane working in Malaysia.
The undercarriage is powered by a Liebherr D 9408 TI-E, an 8-cylinder diesel engine with 598 hp. The crane has four powered axles and six steerable axles.
This crane has the 84-meter long main boom that can be extended by a 63-meter fixed jib or a 91-meter long luffing jib.
The outrigger base of the crane measures 10.0 x 9.6 meters.
Packed is the crane 21.4 meters long, 3 meters wide and 4 meters high.
During the transport over the road the cabin swings behind the superstructure. In operation is hanging here maximum 165 tonnes of counterweight with a 6.6 meter tailswing.
It is an used crane that was before used by Kanson from Hong Kong.
The crane doesn't have any road registration (licence plate) and is moved with a towing vehicle between destinations.
Asiagroup is also deploying a newer Liebherr LTM 1500-8.1, recently was also a new Sany SAC7000 added to the fleet. The largest crane in operation is a Terex AC 1000.
A very sharp crane of Asiagroup! With thanks to the driver for posing the crane.
Some months later I found the crane again on a large construction site, some months before the Terex CC 2800-1 of Tiong Woon was used here to install heavy precast concrete elements.
Here was the crane fitted with a 35 meter long fixed jib. The jib has a 14 meter base length and can be extended in 7 meter steps to a maximum length of 63 meters.
The main boom is extended here to a length of 68.1 meters, the maximum length is 84 meters.
Here are concrete wall elements installed at final height. In this configuration has the crane a minimum working radius of approx. 20 meters.
The crane was fitted here with 60 tonnes of counterweight, on the superstructure is the blue of the first owner Kanson from Hong Kong visible. An impressive crane job by Asiagroup!
