Verschoor from Sassenheim (NL) owned two Grove GMK5130-1, 5-axle mobile 130-tonne cranes. Both cranes were used here for the assembly of a large demolition excavator.
The undercarriage is powered by a Mercedes-Benz OM 502 LA, an 8-cylinder diesel engine with 510 hp. Both cranes have a 10x8 drive line, all axles are steerable. The crane in the front is erected with 21 tonnes of counterweight, the crane at the back with the full counterweight of 40.1 tonnes. The tailswing is 4.44 meters.
The outrigger base measures 7.8 x 7.5 meters, or half 7.8 x 5.1 meters.
At first is the 32 tonne counterweight slab erected to the retrofitted CAT 5110 demolition excavator.
The boom is lifted in tandem lift from the low lowder.
The boom has a 70 tonne mass and has a total length of 90 meters.
Packed is the crane 15 meters long, 2.75 meters wide and 3.91 meters high. The transport mass is around 60 tonnes.
The main boom has a 12.9 meter base length and a maximum length of 60 meters. The folding jib is 18 meters long and can be transported by the crane itself, with extra lattice intermediate sections is a length of 32 meters reached. Both cranes have the hydraulic adjustable jib, the jib is adjustable between 0 and 40 degrees.
The 5-axle Terberg FM2850 is transporting the rest of the counterweight and the lifting materials. Again a very nice jib by Verschoor, thanks for posing!
