This Grove GMK5130-2 belongs to Uplift Cranes from Huntingwood (AU) and was used on a large construction site in Sydney (AU). It is a 130-tonne mobile crane mounted on a 5-axle carrier. The largest crane that Uplift Cranes currently deploys is a 300-tonne Grove.
In transit is the crane 15 meters long, 4 meters tall and 3 meters wide, with a transport mass of approx. 60 tonnes. The outrigger base of the crane measures 7.8 x 7.5 meters.
The undercarriage is powered by a Mercedes-Benz OM 502 LA, an 8-cylinder diesel engine with a power of 380 kW (517 hp). This crane has the standard 10 x 6 x 10-drive line, where the axles 3 to 5 are powered and all axles are steerable. The superstructure is powered by a Mercedes-Benz OM 904 LA, a 4-cylinder diesel engine with a power of 129 kW (175 hp).
Attached to the superstructure is a counterweight of 28.5 tonnes, the full counterweight is 40.1 tonnes. The counterweight has a 4.36 meter tailswing. This crane is fitted with an 8-tonne hoist winch.
The 6-part main boom has a 12.9 meter base length and extends five times to a maximum length of 60 meters. Optionally is the main boom extendable by a two-part jib with a length of 11 or 18 meters. The jib can be mounted in an angle of 0, 20 or 40 degrees to the main boom.
Here was the crane used with a 50.7 meter long main boom to hoist construction materials for a new tunnel.
