Sin Heng from Singapore (SG) was deploying this interesting Grove GMK6220L, it is a 220-tonne crane mounted on a 6-axle carrier.
The 6-axle carrier is powered by a Mercedes-Benz OM 502 LA, an 8-cylinder diesel engine with a power of 420 kW (571 hp). This crane is fitted with the optional 12 x 8 x 12-drive line, where the axles 1, 2, 4 and 5 are powered. All axles are steerable.
In transit is the crane 17.46 meters long, 3 meters wide and 4 meters tall.
The 6-part main boom has a 15.5 meter base length and extends five times to a maximum length of 72 meters. Optionally is the boom to be extended by a 13 - 22 meter long bi-fold swingaway jib that is adjustable in an angle between 5 and 40 degrees by an hydraulic system.
This crane is fitted with a second hoist winch, which hoist wire rope is reefed over the runner. The crane is fitted with two 9.5-tonne hoist winches.
The outrigger base measures 8.7 x 8.5 meters, or half 8.7 x 6 meters.
Attached to the superstructure is here 44 tonnes of counterweight, the counterweight has a 5 meter tailswing. The full counterweight has a 70 tonne mass.
