This Grove GMK3050 of Chamberlain Crane Hire from Bulphan (UK) was in London (UK) used as an assist crane by the disassembly of a tower crane. It is a 50-tonne crane on a 3-axle undercarriage.
The undercarriage is powered by a Mercedes-Benz OM 501 LA, a 6-cylinder diesel engine with a power of 260 kW (349 hp). The crane has the standard 6x4x6-drive line where the two rear axles are driven and all axles are steerable.
The main boom has a 9.8 meter base length and extends four times to a total length of 38.1 meters.
During the transport over the road are 3.5 tonnes, of the total 10.5 tonnes of counterweight, stored on the undercarriage.
The outrigger base of the crane measures 6.625 x 6.2 meters, or half 6.625 x 4.4 meters.
The other 7 tonnes of counterweight remain attached to the superstructure. The tailswing is 3.2 meters. The crane has a 4.4 tonne hoist winch.
Packed is the crane 11.02 meters long, 2.86 meters wide and 3.48 meters high. The mass of the crane is about 36 tonnes. At the rear of the crane is a large storage compartment for lifting gear and the outrigger pads made.
The 8.7 - 15 meter long bi-fold swingaway jib is hanging next to the base section of the main boom. The jib is is hydraulically in angle between 5 and 40 degrees adjustable.
