Grove GMK5250L - BBL Baumaschinen

BBL Baumaschinen from Friedrichsthal (DE) is operating a large fleet with construction machinery, including many tower cranes. For the own assembly of top-slewing tower cranes is BBL deploying this sharp Grove GMK5250L, it is a 250-tonne crane on a 5-axle undercarriage.

The 5-axle undercarriage is powered by a Mercedes-Benz OM 471 LA, a 6-cylinder diesel engine with a power of 390 kW (530 hp). This crane has the standard 10x6x10-drive line, with three driven axles and all axles are steerable.

The main boom has a 13.3 meter base length and extends six times to a full length of 70 meters. The main boom can be extended by a 12/21 meter long bi-fold swingaway jib, that is hydraulically adjustable between 5 and 50 degrees against the main boom.

The outrigger base measures 8.95 x 7.8 meters, or half 8.95 x 5.91 meters.

Packed has the crane a 15.29 meter langt, a 3 meter breadth and a 4 meter height. The transport mass is around 60 tonnes.

The full counterweight of the crane has a mass of 80 tonnes and has a 5.2 meter tailswing. A second winch can be installed at the back of the superstructure.

At the back of the chassis is a large box for the wooden beams attached.

The two hydraulic pumps in the superstructure which are used to move the crane functions are also powered by the engine in the undercarriage. The upper cabin is 20 degrees tiltable.

A very sharp crane in the special colours of BBL!
