The company A-Z Baugeräte GmbH from Krefeld (DE) was using, next to their Grove GMK5110-1, this Grove GMK4100L on a big construction site.
It is a 4 axle, 100 tonne crane with a 60 meter jib, that is why the "L" is in the name. The normal GMK4100 has a 52 meter boom and was for the first time shown on the Intermat show in 2006 to the public.
Special and (then) new is the cranecarriage with a (Mercedes-Benz Actros) truck cab. As engine in the undercarriage is a Mercedes-Benz OM 502 LA with 315 kW used.
Packed has the crane a length of 13.62 meters, a width of 2.75 meters and a height of 4 meters. The transport mass should be around 48 tonnes.
The outrigger base of the crane is measuring 8.344 x 7 meters.
Put up with the full 26.1 tonne counterweight with a 4 meter tailswing.
The year of manufacture of the crane is 2012.
The boom has a 60 meter length when it is fully extended. Then are still 8 tonnes on a 18 meter radius lifted. The boom can be extended by a 27 meter folding jib.
