This sharp Grove GMK6300L belongs to Asiagroup from Singapore (SG) and was used to hoist two heavy tower sections for a tower crane. It is a 300-tonne mobile crane with year of manufacture 2015.
The 6-axle carrier is powered by a Mercedes-Benz OM 502 LA, an 8-cylinder diesel engine with a power of 405 kW (551 hp). This crane has the optional 12 x 8 x 12-drive line, where the axles 1, 4, 5 and 6 are powered and all axles are steerable.
The superstructure is powered by a Mercedes-Benz OM 926 LA, a 6-cylinder diesl engine with a power of 210 kW (286 hp). The diesel engine powers in total three hydraulic pumps, that can move all crane functions at the same time.
Here was the crane deployed with 45 tonnes of counterweight, that exists out of a 7-tonne base plate with four slabs of 9.5 tonnes each. The counterweight has a maximum mass of 92.5 tonnes and a 5.5 meter tailswing. The crane is fitted with a 9.5 tonne hoist winch.
Here are the two tower sections lifted from the truck into the storage yard, the total load weights around 20 tonnes.
The full outrigger base measures 8.7 x 8.5 meters, or half 8.7 x 6.3 meters.
The 7-part main boom has a 15.58 meter base length and extends six times to a maximum length of 80 meters. Here is the main boom extended to a maximum length of 31.52 meters. The main boom could be extended by an optional 12 - 21 meter long bi-fold swingawat jib, the jib is hydraulically in an angle between 5 and 40 degrees adjustable.
In transit is the crane 17.58 meters long, 2.97 meters wide and 4 meters tall. This crane has a total transport mass of approx. 85 tonnes.
A very sharp crane of Asiagroup!
Here was the Grove GMK6300L used by the dismantling of a Potain MR 295 tower crane. The main boom is here extended to a length of 69.23 meters.
The jib of the MR 295 is 45 meters long and weights around 5.9 tonnes.
