A Grove GMK4100L of Asiagroup from Singapore (SG) was parking along the road during the evening. Later that evening the crane would be used for a lifting job on closed road. It is a 100-tonne crane mounted on a 4-axle carrier.
A couple of hours later is the road closed and the crane is ready for some lifting. Two roof structures were to be lifted over the public road.
The 4-axle carrier is powered by a Mercedes-Benz OM 460 LA, a 6-cylinder diesel engine with a power of 295 kW (401 hp). This crane has the standard 8x6x8-drive line, where the axles 1, 3 and 4 are powered and all axles are steerable.
Here is the crane fitted with 19.5 tonnes of counterweight, that fits geometrically on the crane during transport over the road. The full counterweight of the crane weights 26.1 tonnes and has a 4 meter tailswing.
The outrigger base of the crane measures 8.344 x 7 meters, or half 8,344 x 5 meters.
The first roof structure is getting installed. The crane has a main boom with 11.65 meter base length and a maximum length of 60 meters. The main boom is here extended to a length of 35.83 meters. In this configuration is the crane able to lift maximum 30 tonnes on a 5 meter radius of 3.6 tonnes to a 32 meter radius.
The second roof structure was transported by the Scania R 420 and has a mass of approx. 8 tonnes.
This hoist was also completed fast.
During a visit to Asiagroup's yard stood the crane parked below a roof. In transit is the crane 13.6 meters long, 2.75 meters wide and 3.86 meters tall. The transport mass of the crane in this configuration is approx. 61.2 tonnes. A very sharp crane of Asiagroup!
