A Gottwald MK 150 of an unknown company is used to lift smaller boats and yachts in the harbor of Heilbronn (DE). On the same yard is also standing an old Gottwald AK 130-48.
It is a crane with a 100 tonne capacity on a 4.5 meter radius. The first owner of the crane is the BASF from Antwerp (BE). The year of manufacture of the crane is 1970.
These cranes could slowly drive on their own power on the yard, but over the road they were towed as a trailer by a truck.
The crane has a 4 axle undercarriage. Because of the very narrow location the crane was rigged on half outriggers on one side. The mass of the crane is about 82 tonnes.
The counterweight weights about 40 tonnes and can be removed to reduce the transport mass of the crane, the transport mass is than still 42 tonnes.
The boom has a max. length of 60 meters.
In the superstructure are two hoist winches built, in front the hoist winch and at the rear the adjustment winch. The crane has a Deutz BF 6 L engine.
A very special crane that is still used sometimes!
