This impressive Gottwald MK 1500 of ALE Heavylift is used to hoist monopiles in the harbour of Flushing (NL). It is a 1,500 tonne crane. The crane in the front is a FAUN ATF 60-4 of Potter.
The monopiles are hoisted by the crane into the ship. The crane is doing hoists up to around 800 tonnes at this job!
The crane is fitted with a 58 metre main boom and 47 meter maxilift (superlift). The max. main boom length is 114 meters, extendable with a 23 meter jib.
It is a pedestal crane with outrigger dimensions 17 x 17 meters. For this job the crane is put on a rails which makes him mobile in one direction.
The year of manufacture of the crane is 1980. The upper counterweight are 360 tonnes. The superlift radius is max. 24 meters and the superlift counterweight is max. 700 tonnes.
An unique crane that is still used every day for heavy lifting!
