FAUN RTF 80-4 - Heros
This tough FAUN RTF 80-4 of Heros from Moerdijk (NL) stood parked outside of a large construction site in Rotterdam (NL). It is an 80-tonne crane with year of manufacture 1993.
The 4-axle carrier with 8x6x8-drive line is powered by a Mercedes-Benz OM 402 LA, an 8-cylinder diesel engine with a power of 280 kW (381 hp). The axles 1, 3 and 4 are powered and all axles are steerable.
The outrigger base of the crane measures 8.59 x 7.2 meters, or half 8.59 x 5 meters.
In transit is the crane 12.9 meters long, 2.75 meters wide and 3.84 meters tall. The transport mass is approx. 48 tonnes.
Attached to the superstructure remains 4.72 tonnes of counterweight during the transport over the road. The full counterweight of the crane measures 13.5 tonnes and has a 3.65 meter tailswing. The crane has a 6-tonne hoist winch.
The main boom with an 11.2 meter base length extends four times to a maximum length of 42.1 meters. Optionally is the main boom extendable with a 9 / 16 meter long jib, mountable under a 5, 17 or 30 degree angle to the main boom.
