Demag CC 2800 - Yew Choon

The sharp Demag CC 2800 of Yew Choon from Singapore (SG) was in october 2020 used to hoist three heavy beams over a canal. During the early morning is everything prepared for the lifting.

The beams are delivered to site by Tiong Woon. The workers are here rigging the first beam.

After the first beam is picked up on a radius of approx. 11 meters is the crane slewing 180 degrees.

Then the counterweight will be attached to the superlift. On the tray are ten slabs with a mass of 10 tonne each stacked.

Once the counterweight is attached to the superlift the crane will start to boom down.

The beam is positioned at a radius of approx. 30 meters.

One beam is 40 meters long and weights 75 tonnes.

In total is the crane lifting 84 tonnes on a 30 meter radius, the hook weights 7 tonnes and the rigging weights 2 tonnes. The superlift counterweight is positioned at a counter radius of 13 meters.

The second beam is attached here.

The CC 2800 is here fitted with a 54 meter main boom, the superlift is 30 meters long.

The second beam is also relative fast positioned above the bearings.

Before the lunch break are the first two beams already installed.

The last beam is now reversed.

The bridge over the canal will serve pedestrians and cyclists.

The last beam is also relatively fast positioned above its destination.

Fast and professionally are the three beams installed.

A very sharp job done by Yew Choon!
