In the summer of 2010 the beams for the "Odebrug" in Amsterdam (NL) were lifted.
Sarens did this with a hired Liebherr LR 1280 W from barge and a Liebherr LTM 1400-7.1 from land.
The beams are delivered by barge or pontoon to the location, next to the Amsterdam Central Station.
The beams are about 40 metres long and about 120 tonnes.
The barge with the LR 1280 W is fixed, the crane is driving with load.
The LTM 1400-7.1 is fitted with 140 tonnes of counterweight and has a 36 metre extended boom.
It is all about 32 beams made by Haitsema Beton.
Some days later the beams for the other side were hoisted. Those are a bit bigger, 45 metres and 130 tonnes.
This time with a Terex AC 500-2 on land and a "sailing" LR 1280 W.
The AC 500-2 was rigged on beams for a better pressure spreading because of the pipes, cables and a "200 year old quay".
By the construction of this bridge the bridge in the background becomes superflous. The road between the LR 1280 W and the tower cranes is only temporary because of the construction side.
A very nice job performed by Sarens! The name "Odebrug" is derivatived of Oosterdokseiland, the name of the location.
