Sarens used this Lieherr LR 1280 W from a barge for a project in Amsterdam (NL).
It is a (rare) "windfarm" version of the Liebherr LR 1280 and is because of that different.
Officialy this crane belongs to the crane trader Adrichem, but was rented for this job by Sarens because they haven't any other cranes available.
The crane YOM is 2008.
Here we can see the first difference, the undercarriage. The tracks can be moved inwards to get a track width of 4.8 meters to remove easier to other locations, mainly used in the mountains. The track width here is 7.5 meters.
The lower weights are also different, here it exists out of two pieces of resp. 10.4 and 5.6 tonnes.
The gantry is equal to the one of the LR 1300.
The tracks are 9 meters long, 1.2 meters wide and 1.5 meters height. The weight 21.5 tonnes each. The eyes next to the square openings are used as locking point when the tracks are set small.
The upper weights aren't changed, 85.5 tonnes.
This is the shortest main boom length of 29 meters. Because the boom foot is from a LR 1300 and the boom head from a LR 1280 the 12 meter boom section is tapered.
The max. boom length is 86 meters.
Together with a Liebherr LTM 1400-7.1 beams were hoisted for a new bridge.
A nice job for this crane, later on it would be used by other crane companies also.
