Volvo FH 540 - Van der Vlist
Van der Vlist from Moerdijk (NL) has some of these sharp Volvo FH 540 in use. This combination was delivering a tower section of a wind turbine on a construction site in Ede (NL), the assembly on the construction site was done by a Terex Superlift 3800 of Sarens.
It is a 4 axle truck in 8x4 execution. This truck is powered by a Volvo D13C, a 6 cylinder diesel engine with 12.8 liter stroke and 540 hp. His maximum torque of 2,600 Nm is reached by 1,050 - 1,450/min.
Between the first two axles are on this side the hydraulic oil tank and the AdBlue tank made. The truck ist 7.2 meters long and 2.55 meters wide. The mass of the truck is around 13 tonnes.
Behind the cab is a small equipment tower made, in the middle a large diesel tank and on both sides storage compartments.
Attached is a 5 axle Broshuis SL2 semi low loader with ramps. The load is 29.5 meters long and weights 46.6 tonnes.
